Melisa Sharpe, Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

Dr, Sharpe graduated from Ohio University in 2002 with a M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She went on to attend Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University) and earned a Doctorate degree in Audiology. She started First Coast “Mobile” Audiology in 2017 and opened a brick and mortar in 2023 now called First Coast Audiology. Prior to starting FCA she worked for Clay County Schools for 16 years.

Dr. Sharpe actively contributes her expertise to Lend An Ear Outreach, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing complimentary hearing aids to individuals in need. With a profound interest in neuroaudiology, she is committed to understanding the intricate workings of the brain in facilitating optimal hearing for both children and adults. Dr. Sharpe extends her specialized audiological services on-site at both Vicars Landing, a distinguished Gold Seal Award-winning skilled nursing facility, and Cypress Village, a 5-Star CMS-rated, JCAHO-accredited healthcare center.

Angie Pardee, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech Pathologist

Angie graduated with a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010 from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is certified in AG Bell Listening and Spoken Language Auditory Verbal Education. She has expertise in listening and spoken language therapy, reading therapy, and early intervention.

Sarah Zak, Au.D.

Audiologist

Dr. Zak received her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology from Louisiana Tech University in 2000 and an M.S. in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University in 2002. She graduated with her doctorate in Audiology in 2009 from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.

Dr. Zak has a passion for pediatric audiology and auditory processing disorders. She has worked for local ENT doctors, St. Johns County Schools and the Cleft Palate Clinic.

Heather Kitchings

Practice Manager

Heather Kitchings has a nearly 20-year career in medical billing and front office management. Heather spent the first 10 years with a local ENT office overseeing and maintaining patient billing procedures and insurance provider relationships. She then increased her medical knowledge and purview when she joined the University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians where she led a team of 10 for the Anesthesia and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Practice. Heather was excited to seek her next challenge and manage the billing and patient experience for First Coast Mobile Audiology in 2017.

Kim Loving

Kim graduated with a M.S. in Elementary Education. She is certified in reading and gifted education and is trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach for remedial reading. She worked for the Bolles School and was a trainer for McGraw Hill’s Open Court Phonics Program for 17 years. She now provides educational instruction outside of the classroom.
