Speech and Language Evaluations: At First Coast Brain Builders, a speech pathologist will conduct a comprehensive and customized evaluation of you or your child’s auditory, speech, language, and reading abilities. This may include informal, play based and/or formal evaluation protocols to obtain a complete picture of you or your child’s communication status.

Auditory Processing Treatment (Therapy): First Coast Brain Builders utilizes the Buffalo Model auditory training program. Therapy is done one-on-one in person or virtually. A round of therapy is 12 weeks. We then repeat the auditory processing evaluation to see how much progress has been made. Approximately 10% of patients need a second round of therapy and about 3% need a third round.

Memory Mapping: Memory mapping therapy is like a workout for your brain! It’s a way to exercise working memory, listening in noise, problem solving, processing speed, multi-tasking abilities, and more. A customized treatment plan will be created for you to exercise these skills to see improvements in your daily activities and routines.

Tailored Treatment: For success in any environment, communication is essential. Our team works with you to create an individualized treatment plan to address a range of communication skills.
