What to Expect

When you visit First Coast Audiology for you or your child’s hearing needs, you can expect your appointment to be broken into a few key parts.

Case History: Our specialists will take a complete case history to better understand what brought you in and where you or your child are having difficulty hearing.

Ear Exam: We will take a look inside your ears to determine the ear canal and eardrum are healthy as well as to rule out the possibility of impacted earwax affecting your hearing.

Hearing Test: We will assess your hearing ability as well as your understanding in quiet and in noise.

Cognitive screening paperwork results

Cognitive Screening: Perform a screening to see how your brain processes information.

Education: We will educate you on the results of your hearing exam by going over your audiogram and answer any questions you may have.
