Comprehensive Hearing & Communication Needs Assessment
At First Coast Audiology, we go beyond a basic hearing test. Our evaluations are designed to assess how hearing difficulties impact communication, listening effort, tinnitus, speech understanding, and overall auditory function. Please allow 2 hours for your new patient appointment.
Your appointment may include services such as:
Speech-in-noise testing- Cognitive screening
- Communication needs assessment
- Tinnitus screening/counseling
- Review of results and treatment recommendations
Many of these specialty services are not covered by insurance plans. A Communication Needs Assessment fee of $150 is collected at the time of service for these non-covered professional services.
We will continue to bill insurance for covered diagnostic audiology services when applicable.
